Hippo Splice Connector

This solderless Hippo Splice Connector is used whenever you need to connect two pieces of LED flex strips together. These solderless splice connectors take seconds to install and will make a secure splice connection every time.

Quick and simple to use. First, peel a little bit of the sticker paper off of the strip. Push the strip into the groove and place it on the two metal pins. Make sure that the two pins line up with the copper contacts on the flex strip. Once all pins are aligned, clamp the plastic tab down. Repeat the same steps for the other end. Check that the polarity is consistent and you’re done! The Hippo Connectors create secure connections by piercing through the flex strip’s copper contacts.

This connector creates a secure connection without soldering. Be sure to watch your polarity when working with all LED flex strips. Your positive and negative sides of the flex must always line up or the strip will not light.

Available in 8mm width. Ideal for use with our 8mm Standard 3528 Indoor Flex strips and most 8mm 2-conductor single colour indoor flex strips.
